The American Psychiatric Association defines Depressions as “A common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work and at home.
The symptoms for depression can be mild to severe. Some of the symptoms include;
Everyday you wake up and feel empty. You don’t know what you really want.

You keep overthinking about everything

You don’t want to meet or talk to anybody

You just want to be alone

You always think that you are the worst and everyone else is better than you.

You can’t control your emotions.

You realise that you have lost interest in everything and everyone, even the ones you love the most.
